Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Hayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Meier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramon Hayden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Meier! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meier throws a right and a left that both miss. Meier lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hayden backs up against the cage.
Hayden moves into the clinch. Meier is trying to push Hayden away but Hayden has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Meier gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hayden looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Meier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Meier lands a couple of elbows. Hayden bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Meier's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hayden thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Meier controls Hayden momentarily but Hayden frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayden drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Meier dives on top into guard. Meier is looking to work some ground and pound but Hayden has wrist control. Hayden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Meier defends well. Meier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hayden is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Meier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hayden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Meier defends well. Hayden trying to control the position.
Hayden looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Meier with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hayden wants to sweep here but Meier controlling him for the moment. Meier controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Meier forces his way into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayden regains full guard. Nicely done. Hayden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Meier manages to get himself to full guard.
Hayden trying to stand up but can't free himself from Meier's guard. Hayden won't allow Meier to sweep him here. Hayden wanted to stand there but Meier had control of the position. Hayden postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Meier manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hayden manages to get himself to full guard.
Hayden wants to sweep here but Meier controlling him for the moment. Hayden has a closed guard, preventing Meier from standing up. Hayden trying to keep a closed guard but Meier is proving a slippery customer.
Meier is pushing down on Hayden's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hayden is fighting to maintain full guard but Meier has managed to sneak the leg through. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Meier wants to control but Hayden is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Meier dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Meier will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Paul Meier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Meier lands the left hand. A head kick by Meier misses and Hayden counters with a takedown into side control. Hayden throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Meier tries to buck Hayden off but Hayden is having none of it. Meier dodges the ground and pound from Hayden. Meier takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Meier controls the position for a moment. Hayden fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Meier is trying to improve his position. Hayden goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Meier rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hayden's guard! Nice work there by Meier!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayden lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hayden in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hayden looking to sit in guard and control but Meier gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Meier wants to control from the top but Hayden keeps moving. Meier preventing the sweep. Meier has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hayden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Meier defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meier is working Hayden over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Meier scoring with punches to the head and body. Paul Meier has got the better of the ground game so far. Meier wants to get up but he can't break Hayden's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Meier preventing the sweep. Hayden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Meier manages to get himself to full guard.
Meier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hayden is one step ahead there. Hayden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayden makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hayden wants to stand and escape but instead Meier has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Meier trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Meier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hayden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Meier has managed to get both his arms back between Hayden's legs - danger averted. Meier chips away with some ground and pound. Hayden is striking from the bottom but Meier uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Meier is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Meier there. Meier is keen to just control but Hayden is a slippery customer. Hayden looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Meier blocks the strikes from Hayden.
Meier content to control rather than advance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Meier is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Paul Meier will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Meier misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hayden.
Hayden tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Meier manages to circle out of the way. Ramon Hayden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Meier has closed the distance and engaged Hayden in a clinch.
Meier looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Meier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hayden has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hayden there as he acknowledges the shot. Hayden scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Meier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hayden as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meier moves into range and clinches up with Hayden. Meier manages to break the clinch.
Meier throws a right hand that Hayden ducks under and follows up with a left that Hayden also avoids with ease. Meier closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayden tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Meier just stands there and leans against the cage. Hayden jumps into guard, dragging Meier to the mat.
Hayden doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hayden isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Meier stacks Hayden on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Meier! Meier throws an elbow but Hayden slips to the side and avoids it well. Hayden throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Hayden looking for a sweep but Meier has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayden is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hayden gets back to half guard. Meier tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Meier is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Meier takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hayden wants to improve his position but Meier is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayden on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hayden is trying to control but can't.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Meier is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hayden doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Meier. Meier landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hayden is refusing to be controlled, as Meier sits in half guard. Meier throws a strike but Hayden avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Hayden is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Meier avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Meier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Meier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
