Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Meguru Takayanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takumi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi has chosen Japanese Player as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meguru Takayanagi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takumi Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takayanagi fails in his attempt to clinch. Takeshi now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Takayanagi has managed to clinch.

I was talking to Takayanagi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Takeshi avoiding damage as Takayanagi throws knees to the body.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meguru Takayanagi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takayanagi misses with a short punch on the inside. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takeshi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Takeshi breaks the clinch.
Takayanagi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Despite the aggression on Takeshi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Takeshi lands a hook that snaps the head of Takayanagi backwards. Takeshi lands with a short shot to the head.
Takayanagi is rocked! Takeshi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Takayanagi or not. Oh Takayanagi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Takayanagi is breathing heavily. Takeshi manages to break the clinch.
Takeshi cracks Takayanagi with a good jab. Takayanagi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A countering left hand to the body from Takeshi misses. Takayanagi throws a wild hook but Takeshi just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Takayanagi gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Takeshi raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takumi Takeshi! After the big win, Takumi Takeshi made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Arcticus University: London and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
