The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pomper darts in and clinches Brewer up against the cage. Brewer has had enough of the clinch but Pomper keeps him there for the moment. Brewer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pomper has Brewer up against the cage in a clinch.
Pomper tries to break free but Brewer pushes him back against the cage. Pomper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pomper drives through and clinches with Brewer against the cage.

It looks like Neal Brewer has been cut. Pomper leaves Brewer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brewer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Pomper manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brewer is trying to break the clinch but Pomper has him pressed against the cage. Brewer wants to break the clinch but can't.

Brewer is rocked! Pomper creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Brewer with a big uppercut! Brewer tries to clinch up but Pomper pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Brewer to the mat! Brewer covers up and Pomper unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rob Pomper! After winning the bout, Rob Pomper thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
