Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aigars Senko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan McKay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senko comes to the cage accompanied by Hall of Fame by The Script. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dylan McKay!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKay swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Senko.
McKay looks to land a right hand but Senko moved out of range.
It looked like Senko was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McKay.
McKay misses with a straight left.
That kick from McKay tenderised Senko's leg. Senko is trying to keep his angry face on.
Senko fails with an attempt to clinch.
McKay misses with an uppercut. Senko saw that one coming.
Senko throws a body shot but no joy.

Senko forces McKay back against the cage and clinches.
McKay misses with some punches.
A nice right hand lands inside from McKay.
Senko misses with a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKay blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
McKay misses with a short punch on the inside.
Senko blocks a punch to the side of the head.

McKay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McKay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Senko connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McKay scrambles back to his feet.

It seemed like McKay was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

McKay throws a leg kick which misses Senko's front leg but catches the back leg as Senko tries to avoid it.

Senko throws a big counter combination but McKay scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McKay throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Senkos head.
McKay is trying to break the clinch but Senko is controlling him.
Senko tries to work over McKay's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
McKay is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Senko creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through McKay's defenses.


It looks like Dylan McKay has been cut.
Senko tries to break the clinch but McKay is controlling the position.

McKay lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

McKay was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
McKay connects with a leg kick. Senko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Senko throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McKay stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Senko drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McKay moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Senko throws a sloppy head kick and McKay moves out of range easily.

McKay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Senko moves away.

Senko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McKay can pounce on him.
Donk. McKay catches Senko right on the button with a cross.
Senko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Senko throws a hook but McKay blocks it.
McKay swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McKay fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Senko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Senko connects with a body shot that sends McKay's belly button to the back.
Senko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
McKay avoids a punch combination nicely.
McKay looks to score with a jab to the body but Senko is just out of range.
McKay cracks Senko with a right hand to the side of the head.


Senko is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
McKay misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Senko.

McKay sends Senko crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! McKay is motioning to the referee to let Senko up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Senko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dylan McKay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McKay is stalking Senko. Senko circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from McKay, and it's lights out! Senko really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dylan McKay!
