Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jayant Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jayant Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Adams! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams shoots in for a takedown but Singh shows good takedown defense. Adams manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Adams wants to get back to his feet but Singh passes into half guard.

Adams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Singh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adams somewhat. Adams fails to land the takedown. Jayant Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Adams. Singh gets the takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams prevents Singh from moving into mount. Adams tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Singh has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Adams is breathing heavily. Adams is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Singh lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Adams is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
