Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Berdich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Gustavo Santos has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

27 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Berdich! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Berdich tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Santos is in Berdich's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Berdich looking for a sweep. Not yet Berdich, not yet. Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position. Berdich keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Santos is pushing down on Berdich's leg trying to pass to half guard. Berdich is fighting to maintain full guard but Santos has managed to sneak the leg through. Berdich wants to get back to full guard. Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Berdich does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Santos seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Santos keeping moving, preventing Berdich from controlling successfully. Santos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Berdich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Berdich missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Berdich is in close to Santos's body, working some short punches and elbows. Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Berdich advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berdich is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Berdich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos keeps working. Santos looking for submissions off his back. Santos desperately trying to maintain half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos is trying to stand back up but Berdich is controlling him

Berdich shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Santos is trying to defend but Berdich finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Santos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Berdich is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santos is just riding it out for now. Berdich eventually gives up the hold. Berdich takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Berdich pulls his head out easily. Santos controlling the position well. Berdich trying to mount his opponent but Santos defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos has his hands clasped together around Berdich's back. He's all about the action. Santos trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Berdich manages to pass to mount!

Berdich prevents Santos from getting the reversal. Santos in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Berdich has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Santos's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos is squirming around, avoiding Berdich's attempts to control the action. Berdich moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Santos has worked his arm free - good work by Santos!
Andy Berdich has got the better of the ground game so far. Berdich works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Berdich scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Santos to see if he's OK. Berdich tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Berdich looks up at the clock and then as Santos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Berdich smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Santos wants to control but Berdich postures up. Berdich tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Berdich thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Berdich tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Berdich has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Santos is trying to control Berdich's posture but Berdich avoids it. Santos is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Santos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Berdich cracks Santos with an elbow. That is naaassty. Berdich looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Santos prevents Berdich from improving position. Santos is trying to control Berdich's posture but Berdich avoids it. Berdich is chipping away with strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos is not content to let Berdich control the position. Santos is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Berdich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Santos is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Berdich is forced to tap! Great finish!
