Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darrin Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burt throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fisher counters with a left and a right that stings Burt.

Fisher gets tackled into the cage by Burt. Burt maintains the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Fisher.
Fisher is trying to push Burt away but Burt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Burt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fisher on his heels. He'll look to pass Fisher's guard now, I'm sure.

Burt looks up at the clock and then as Fisher takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Burt smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Despite the aggression on Fisher's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Fisher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burt circles away quickly and effectively.

and Fisher takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Burt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fisher as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darrin Burt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
