The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saturday shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Castaneda is trying to defend but Saturday finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Saturday stops Castaneda from getting back to his feet.
Castaneda is trying is best to control the position here. Saturday is trying to control. Castaneda wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Castaneda really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Castaneda holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Saturday is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Castaneda. Castaneda is looking for a sweep. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Saturday closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Castaneda's guard. Castaneda uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Castaneda thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Castaneda gets to his feet - Saturday follows without any prompting. Saturday closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Castaneda quickly recovers to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Castaneda wants to improve his position but Saturday is controlling well.
