Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Coffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Leesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Leesz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jacob Leesz!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coffey checks a low kick from Leesz.
Leesz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Coffey throws a quick counter head kick but Leesz was just out of range.
Coffey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Leesz looks to throw a body kick

and Coffey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Coffey tries to circle away but Leesz has him pinned against the cage.
Coffey working hard to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leesz controlling the action here for a moment.

Coffey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Coffey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And Leesz responds with a good body kick, but Coffey manages to step out the way in time.
Jacob Leesz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Coffey shoots in for a takedown but Leesz shows good takedown defense.

Leesz wants to stand but Coffey is controlling the position.
Coffey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Coffey prevents Leesz from getting back to his feet.
Leesz is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Coffey dives into side control.

Coffey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leesz tries to escape but Coffey is in control.
Coffey throws a strike aimed at the side of Leesz's head but Leesz avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leesz pushes Coffey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Coffey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Coffey rushes Leesz and presses him up against the cage.
Coffey has had enough of the clinch but Leesz keeps him there for the moment.
Coffey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Coffey taking a breather.
Coffey wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Coffey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Leesz wants to slow Coffey down by chopping away at his legs.
Leesz throws a push kick but Coffey slaps the foot to one side.
Coffey moves out of range of the body kick from Leesz.
An attempted straight right counter from Coffey misses the target.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leesz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Coffey doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Leesz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jacob Leesz will probably get the nod.

Leesz tries to land a front kick but Coffey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Coffey moves out of range as Leesz throws a body kick.
Leesz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Leesz looks to land a body kick but Coffey moved away.
A quick step to the side and Coffey tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Coffey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Coffey showed some decent athleticism there.
Coffey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Coffey prevents Leesz from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coffey is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Leesz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Leesz tries to kick Coffey off in order to stand up. Coffey Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Leesz throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Coffey avoids a kick to the body.
Coffey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leesz paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Coffey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leesz defends it nicely.
Coffey moves out of range of the body kick from Leesz.

Coffey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Leesz manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Coffey looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Coffey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Coffey takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Coffey looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Leesz!
Leesz bucks up and tries to throw Coffey off but instead Coffey has got his back!
Leesz is trying to get back to his feet but Coffey has full control of the position and if anything, Leesz has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jacob Leesz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Coffey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Coffey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Coffey closes the distance and clinches up with Leesz, looking for a takedown. Coffey pushes Leesz against the cage but Leesz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Coffey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jacob Leesz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Leesz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
