Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and De Janeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickens comes to the cage accompanied by I Want it All. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Dickens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, De Janeiro! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickens throws a hook but Janeiro blocks it. Janeiro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dickens. Janeiro feints the counter takedown. Dickens throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dickens throws a right and a left that both miss. Dickens misses with a hook. Janeiro ducked under it nicely. No joy there for Dickens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Janeiro feints the counter takedown. Dickens throws a series of punches but Janeiro moves out of range. Janeiro with the counter takedown but Dickens avoids it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Dickens misses the target. Dickens looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Oliver Dickens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dickens throws an overhand right that lands on Janeiro's shoulder, as Janeiro tries to avoid the shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickens pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Janeiro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dickens throws out the jab. Dickens throws a shot from downtown. Janeiro moves away and avoids it. Dickens swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Janeiro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janeiro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Janeiro seems to be working for a kimura but Dickens defends the submission attempt. Janeiro is looking for a kimura but Dickens is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Janeiro to get the leverage. Janeiro is pressing down on Dickens's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dickens is holding on for now. Janeiro is thwarting Dickens's attempts to control the position. Janeiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dickens is just riding it out for now. Janeiro eventually gives up the hold. Dickens has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Janeiro is working away from the top position though. Dickens is looking for a sweep. Janeiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickens slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dickens is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dickens looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Janeiro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dickens looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dickens looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dickens! Dickens working the head and body with strikes. Dickens working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Dickens grinds an elbow into Janeiro's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickens cracks Janeiro with a big elbow. Dickens throws an elbow but Janeiro slips to the side and avoids it well. Janeiro dodges the ground and pound from Dickens. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickens working the head and body with strikes. Dickens is chipping away with strikes.
Dickens lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Dickens grinds an elbow into Janeiro's temple. Dickens cracks Janeiro with an elbow. That is naaassty. Dickens scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Janeiro is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dickens can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oliver Dickens! Oliver Dickens tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
