Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Daddy L (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). L has chosen destroyer-Static X as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Big Daddy L has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by L.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
The fight stays on the outside here - L looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

No joy there for L, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A slapping body kick lands there for Slice.
Slice lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

L tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slice swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and L counters with a nice double leg into guard.

and L counters with a left and a right that stings Slice.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A head kick from Slice lands but L takes it in his stride.
Slice misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slice keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
L tries to close the distance and clinch but Slice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnny Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Slice chopping away at his opponent's legs.

L darts in and clinches Slice up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
L wants to break free but Slice has control.

Horrible takedown by L or perhaps it was just good defense by Slice which made him look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
L will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
L closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

L is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
