The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uray lands with an uppercut that bounces Saaim off the cage and back into range.
Andres Uray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saaim misses with an uppercut.

Uray looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Uray scores with a nice head shot.
Saaim misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Saaim takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Uray looks to land a combination. Saaim sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Saaim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Uray.

Saaim has closed the distance and engaged Uray in a clinch.
Saaim takes a shot to the head.
Uray swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Saaim controlling the action here for a moment.
Saaim is looking for a takedown.
Saaim misses with a body punch.
A head punch on the inside from Uray fails to land.
Uray lands a right hand that snaps the head of Saaim backwards.
Uray misses with a hook from the clinch.
Saaim blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Saaim tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Uray just stands there and leans against the cage.
Uray misses with a punch on the inside.
Saaim tries to work over Uray's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saaim tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Uray smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Saaim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Uray will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Saaim has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Uray is working the combinations to good effect here.
Saaim walks into a stiff left hand from Uray.
Uray moves into range and connects with a jab.
Andres Uray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Uray keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circling - Saaim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Saaim tries to close the distance and clinch but Uray swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Uray steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Saaim.

Uray darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Uray lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Uray feints a jab promting Saaim to slip. Uray then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Saaim slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Uray goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Saaim has taken the fight to the clinch.

Saaim has hold of one of Uray's legs. Uray is fighting the takedown attempt but Saaim gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saaim controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Saaim wants to stand and escape but instead Uray has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Saaim pulls Uray in close to his closed guard and prevents Uray from doing any damage or advancing position.

Saaim has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Uray doesn't defend quickly enough and Saaim has managed to lock this one up! Can Uray escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Saaim on a fantastic submission victory.
