Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rembrandt Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tate comes to the ring accompanied by Engine No. 9. Schmidt has chosen red barchetta- rush as his entrance music. On his way into the ring it seems that Jackson Tate has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jackson Tate seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Jackson Tate has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Schmidt as Tate shoots in.
Schmidt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tate shoots and misses
and Schmidt counters with a nice body shot.
Tate looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Schmidt!
Tate works to advance to full mount. Schmidt defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Tate with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tate is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Schmidt has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Schmidt tries to improve his position but Tate has taken his back! Tate has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Schmidt tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Tate pushes Schmidt away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
