Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hector Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hundo Varga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Diaz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hundo Varga! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The fight moves into the clinch position. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Diaz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Diaz is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot in the inside from Varga. A quick uppercut on the inside from Varga. Diaz fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Varga just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Varga gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz regains full guard. Nicely done. Varga stopping the sweep attempt from Diaz. Varga slips nicely into half guard. Varga wants to pass the guard but Diaz is defending well. Diaz tries to get to full guard but Varga has control of the leg. Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Varga is working for a kimura but Diaz is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Varga pulls his head out easily. Varga must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Varga stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Varga not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Varga told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Varga looking to pass the guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Diaz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Diaz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Varga can pounce on him.
Diaz on the wrong end of a nice jab. Varga fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diaz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Varga leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Diaz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Hector Diaz has been cut. Diaz fails with a takedown attempt. Diaz is breathing heavily. Diaz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Varga is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hundo Varga dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hector Diaz's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Varga scores with a jab to the head.
Varga throws a good cross that connects.
Diaz is rocked! Varga fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Diaz square on the jaw! Damn, Diaz is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
