Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikhailu Banister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Royce Vega!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Banister to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Royce Vega has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vega is defended easily by Banister.
Banister lands with a nice body kick.
Vega looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banister is fending him off so far but Vega persists. Nope, Banister circles away and we're back to standing.
Banister closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Vega! Banister dives in looking to finish! Vega is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikhailu Banister!
