Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chi Gu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Put It On-Big L. Mack is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls. Rodney Mack has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chi Gu's chin.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gu.

Gu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Gu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gu connects with a nice short shot to Mack's temple.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chi Gu!
Chi Gu opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
