Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihiko Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cornelius Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akihiko Yamato! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamato throws a head kick that half lands.
Yamato takes one to the side of the head.
Carr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yamato was well out of range. Poor timing from Carr. Yamato looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A lazy left from Yamato finds it's target. Yamato tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Carr connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Akihiko Yamato has been cut. Yamato keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carr throws a series of punches but Yamato avoids them all with ease. Yamato misses with a low kick as Carr jumps back. Carr throws a right hand that misses
and Yamato counters with a slapping leg kick. Yamato lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Yamato throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice cross by Carr. Yamato with a body punch. A glancing blow. Yamato cracks Carr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Yamato chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carr throws a good cross that connects.
A big right from Carr misses. Yamato is looking to slow Carr down with leg kicks. Yamato just misses with a punch to the body.
Carr throws a lazy right hand but Yamato sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Yamato does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Yamato fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carr looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. We've been informed that Yamato has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A left lands for Yamato. Carr connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Carr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carr has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wild Card in the buildup to the fight. Yamato uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carr. Carr swings for the body but Yamato moves out of range.
Carr looks to score with a jab to the body but Yamato is just out of range. Carr missing with a left hand there. Yamato was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. It seemed like Yamato was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Carr throws a predictable looking body shot
and Yamato counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yamato misses with the head strike.

Carr pushes Yamato back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Carr swings wildly with an uppercut but Yamato uses good head movement to avoid it. Carr takes a shot to the head. Carr lands an uppercut. Yamato breaks from the clinch.
Yamato staying out of range there. Carr throws out a leg kick but Yamato moves out of range and Carr only half commits. Carr showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Yamato.
Carr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Yamato turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Yamato ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Carr checks a leg kick nicely. Carr swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamato tries to move into range but Carr moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yamato connects with an inside leg kick. Yamato does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Carr misses the body punch and Yamato counters with a thumping low kick. Yamato throws a push kick but Carr slaps the foot to one side. Carr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yamato. Carr moves out of range of the body kick from Yamato.
Carr throws a looping overhand right but Yamato ducks down to avoid it. Yamato is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Yamato jabbing away but nothing is landing. Carr takes a swing at Yamato's ribcage but misses. Yamato wants to counter with a clinch but Carr pushes him away. A slow jab from Carr misses its intended target. Carr checks a leg kick nicely. Yamato throws a lazy body kick and Carr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Yamato is looking to land body kicks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akihiko Yamato dominated that round. The cut man is working on Akihiko Yamato's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Yamato takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Carr misses the shot to the body. Carr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yamato. Yamato plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Carr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yamato. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yamato lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Carr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Carr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A thudding body kick lands there by Yamato!
Carr on the wrong end of a nice jab. A nice leg kick lands there from Yamato. Carr looks to land a right hand but Yamato moved out of range. Carr punishes Yamato's body with a nice straight punch. Yamato bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Carr misses with a wild body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yamato buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Carr throws a jab when Yamato was well out of range. Yamato swings for the body but Carr moves out of range.

Yamato tries to score with a low kick but Carr moves his leg out of the way. Carr is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Yamato throws a chopping leg kick but Carr manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Yamato misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Yamato connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Carr drops Yamato with a naaaaasty hook - Yamato is in real trouble here! Carr dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cornelius Carr! Cornelius Carr was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
