Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krystian Cierpka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Taheil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taheil comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bustin Loose kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Krystian Cierpka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julian Taheil!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taheil takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cierpka gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Taheil.
Krystian Cierpka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cierpka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taheil.

Cierpka clinches with his opponent.
Taheil is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cierpka to keep the fight standing.
I was talking to Cierpka's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Taheil.
Taheil blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Cierpka as Taheil tries to tie him up.

Taheil can't get the takedown.
Krystian Cierpka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian Taheil.
Taheil lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Cierpka tries to throw a body punch but Taheil avoids it by throwing Cierpka back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Cierpka.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taheil jumps guard and drags Cierpka to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Taheil working for a triangle but Cierpka defends it easily.

Taheil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cierpka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Taheil throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cierpka escapes and throws Taheil's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Taheil wants to control but Cierpka postures up.

Taheil is looking for a sweep.

Taheil is looking to regain half guard here but Cierpka keeps moving and retains side control.
Taheil is still trying to improve position.
Taheil is trying to control Cierpka's posture but Cierpka avoids it.

Cierpka has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Cierpka gets a clinch.
Cierpka lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Taheil jumps guard but Cierpka stands there with Taheil around his waist. Taheil gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Taheil tries to clinch up but Cierpka circles away and keeps his distance.
Cierpka throws a nice looking combination but Taheil bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cierpka, right into the meat.
Taheil showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cierpka.
Taheil tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Taheil fails to land with a series of punches.

Cierpka throws a left that rocks Taheil and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cierpka dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Taheil regain composure!


Taheil is rocked!


It looks like Julian Taheil has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taheil is trying to control Cierpka's posture but Cierpka avoids it.
Taheil is still in real trouble! Can Cierpka finish him?
Taheil tries to bench press Cierpka off him but Cierpka keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cierpka stands up.
Taheil seems to have recovered his senses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cierpka grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Taheil takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Cierpka cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Krystian Cierpka!
A very excited looking Krystian Cierpka made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
