Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jock Sleed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Algot Uggla! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uggla shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. My spies in Wreckshop inform me that Uggla has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Sleed is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sleed keeping moving, preventing Uggla from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sleed being controlled here, momentarily. Sleed keeping moving, preventing Uggla from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uggla slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Sleed manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uggla escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sleed throws a leg kick that is checked and Uggla counters with a lovely straight right hand! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sleed, as that shot connected.
Uggla shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sleed's guard. Sleed wants to stand and escape but Uggla is having none of it. Uggla trying to control but Sleed is working from the bottom. We've been hearing good reports from Sleed's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Uggla might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sleed haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Uggla pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sleed is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uggla wants to control from the top but Sleed keeps moving. Uggla is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Uggla won't allow Sleed to get back to his feet. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Uggla content to stall in guard here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Uggla shoots in for a double leg but Sleed sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sleed scores with a nice body kick.
Uggla fails with the takedown and Sleed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Uggla looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uggla is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sleed has managed to free his arm - good work. Uggla trying to control from half guard but Sleed is working away. Uggla prevents Sleed from standing back up.
Uggla is working for an americana but Sleed has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Uggla was thinking about the submission. Uggla tries to free his leg and advance position but Sleed is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Uggla trying to control the position from guard on top but Sleed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Uggla looking to sit in guard and control but Sleed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sleed slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sleed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sleed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sleed trying to control but Uggla is working from the bottom. Uggla manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sleed manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jock Sleed will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sleed shoots in but Uggla avoids the takedown attempt easily. Donk. Sleed catches Uggla right on the button with a cross. Sleed misses with a wild body shot. Sleed throws a good cross that connects.
Sleed lands with a hook. Uggla tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sleed stuffs the takedown. Sleed scores with a jab. Uggla acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jock Sleed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sleed slaps away a takedown attempt from Uggla, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uggla slips under a jab from Sleed. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Uggla. Jock Sleed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Algot Uggla. Uggla takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sleed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jock Sleed is winning the standup battle so far. Uggla clinches. Uggla changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sleed fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Uggla throws a jab when Sleed was well out of range. Nice body punch from Sleed. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sleed.
Good exchange - Sleed coming out on top. Sleed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sleed shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Uggla looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ground and pound from Sleed. Sleed is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Uggla can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sleed prevents Uggla from standing back up.
Sleed is looking to take a break and control but Uggla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sleed stops Uggla from getting back to his feet.
Sleed landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Sleed working the head and body with strikes. Uggla is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sleed scores with a couple of nice shots. Uggla tries to roll over but Sleed keeps him under control. Sleed is nestled in close to Uggla, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sleed takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Sleed is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Uggla has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sleed is working away from the top position though. Sleed trying to control the action but Uggla is working from the bottom. Sleed controlling the action here. Uggla is trying to control but Sleed manages to pass to mount!

Uggla tries to lock up and control but Sleed gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sleed pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sleed scoring with strikes but Uggla is staying in there. Jock Sleed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Uggla is looking to improve his position but Sleed isn't that keen on the idea. Uggla takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jock Sleed dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Uggla darts in looking for a takedown but Sleed gets double underhooks and turns Uggla into the cage. Sleed plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Uggla misses with an uppercut. Uggla has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sleed lands with a light punch inside. Sleed lands a shot to the body. Uggla looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Uggla is trying to pull guard but Sleed turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sleed. Uggla works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sleed. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sleed gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sleed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Uggla looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sleed passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sleed scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Uggla to see if he's OK. Uggla is looking for a sweep. Uggla wants to control but Sleed postures up. Uggla holding on. Sleed grinds an elbow into Uggla's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uggla is trying to control Sleed's posture but Sleed avoids it. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Uggla wants to control but Sleed postures up. Sleed scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Uggla to see if he's OK. Uggla trying to remain calm as Sleed controls from the top position. Sleed scoring with punches from side control. Sleed lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Uggla down.
Sleed in side control lands a decent elbow. Sleed working the head with strikes. Sleed throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Sleed scores with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uggla takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Sleed connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Uggla some visible discomfort.
Sleed is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Uggla's shoulder. That is not cool. Sleed working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Sleed trying to control the position but Uggla is working away. Sleed is working Uggla over with some ground and pound from side control. Sleed scoring with punches from side control. Uggla on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Uggla is trying to get back to half guard. Sleed working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sleed controls the position from side control. Algot Uggla has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sleed landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Uggla takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sleed has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jock Sleed is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sleed won't let Uggla get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Uggla tries to reverse the position but Sleed maintains control. Sleed lands a big shot there that rocks Uggla but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Jock Sleed showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sleed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jock Sleed! After winning the bout, Jock Sleed thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Algot Uggla was interviewed post fight and said '*spits out blood* haven't you got something better to do than beating up 18-year olds in QFC?!'.
