Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Libers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Libers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Libers!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Libers looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Booth misses with a body shot.

Libers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Booth manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Booth pushes Libers off and gets back to his feet.
Booth swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Booth throws a right hand that Libers ducks under and follows up with a left that Libers also avoids with ease.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Booth circles away from the clinch attempt.
Booth changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Libers is looking to clinch but Booth is avoiding it.

Booth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Libers unleashes a big counter combination but Booth bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Booth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Libers isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Booth stacks Libers on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Booth!
You can see the frustration on Libers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Booth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Booth has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Libers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Libers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Booth sprawls well initially but Libers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Libers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Booth does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Libers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Booth throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Libers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Booth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Booth has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Libers is on him like a limpet, forcing Booth back against the cage.

Booth has Libers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Libers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Libers gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Booth thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Booth has a closed guard, preventing Libers from standing up.
Booth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Libers stands and steps away. Booth gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Libers tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Booth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A little feinted left hand from Booth on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Booth fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Libers manages to avoid it.

Booth keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Booth stalks Libers and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Libers's face. Libers staggers backwards, shaken.
Jake Libers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Libers is trying to trip Booth. He has hold of a leg but Booth is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Libers persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Booth seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Aaron Booth is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Booth is looking to wear down Libers with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Libers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Booth finds it's way round the side to connect with Libers's head.

Well Booth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
