Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hayden Mills! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hacran Dias! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Mills as Dias shoots in. Dias with a lazy takedown attempt and Mills counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Dias has his takedown stuffed and Mills counters with a right hand to the body. Hayden Mills has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hacran Dias. Dias shoots in and bounces Mills off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dias throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mills works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dias throws a big elbow that misses. Dias throws a big elbow that misses. Mills pulls Dias in close to his closed guard and prevents Dias from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dias drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mills dives on top into guard.
Dias is looking for a triangle here but Mills uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mills landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mills in side control, throwing shots but Dias defends. Mills tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mills has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dias manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Mills sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dias defending well though. Dias works his way to full guard. Good work. Mills avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dias tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mills lands a nice short elbow. Dias moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dias throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mills escapes and throws Dias's legs to the side, diving into side control! Mills working the body and head with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dias is looking to regain half guard here but Mills keeps moving and retains side control. Dias tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mills presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Dias is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Dias looks winded! Mills cracks Dias with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mills with a couple of short strikes. Mills lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dias can't escape the position.
Dias gets back to half guard. Dias is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dias gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hayden Mills dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mills keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mills is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dias. Dias looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hayden Mills overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dias throwing strikes but missing. Dias is in close to Mills's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dias keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mills's head. Mills has Dias pulled in close to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mills stands up over Dias, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Dias looking for a guillotine here but Mills defends easily.
Dias escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mills gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dias has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dias is looking for a triangle here but Mills uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hayden Mills will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Hacran Dias is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mills is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dias sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Hacran Dias. Well Mills has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
