Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, El Pintos!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin connects with a right hand. Pintos shakes it off.
Putin punishes Pintos's body with a nice straight punch.
Pintos throws the left hand but Putin avoids the punch easily.
Pintos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Putin lands a right hook to the body.
Putin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pintos manages to avoid it.
Pintos swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Putin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Putin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Putin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pintos throws a head kick but Putin moves out of range.
Putin tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pintos manages to circle out of the way.
Putin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pintos sprawls well initially but Putin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pintos tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Putin manages to move to mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Putin controlling the pace for now.
We've been hearing good reports from Putin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Putin takes Pintos's back.

Pintos is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Putin gets his way!

Pintos rolls, trying to escape but Putin keeps control of the position.
Pintos tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Putin has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Pintos is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Beast Putin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
