Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Bacon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connor Bacon!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bacon clinches up with Everett and pushes him back against the cage.

Bacon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bacon wants to sweep here but Everett controlling him for the moment.
Bacon throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bacon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Everett working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Everett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bacon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Everett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Everett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bacon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bacon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Everett sees it coming and defends easily.
Everett is trying to control but can't.
Bacon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Bacon decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Bacon drives through and clinches with Everett against the cage.
Bacon gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Bacon gets control of Everett's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bacon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Everett is looking to work some ground and pound but Bacon has wrist control.
Bacon has his hands on Everett's head, controlling the position.

Bacon has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Everett is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Bacon swings wildly with an uppercut but Everett uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bacon has picked Everett up - he's going for a ride! Bacon dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bacon decides to stand up.

Bacon misses with an elbow strike.
Everett drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bacon pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bacon moves into the clinch successfully.

Everett pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bacon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Everett on his heels. He'll look to pass Everett's guard now, I'm sure.

Everett pushes Bacon off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bacon.

Bacon clinches with his opponent.
Bacon scores with a nice hook to the head.
Bacon lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bacon blocks a punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connor Bacon dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Everett closes the distance and clinches.
Everett jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bacon walks away with a smile on his face. Everett gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Connor Bacon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bacon gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bacon pulls guard successfully.
Connor Bacon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bacon is looking for a triangle but Everett pushes his legs off easily.
Bacon controls Everett momentarily but Everett frees himself.

Bacon has an active guard here but Everett has managed to pass into half guard.

Bacon wants to get back to full guard.
Everett not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett is trying to control the action in half guard but Bacon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bacon wants to control but Everett is keeping busy.
Bacon is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Everett jumps into side control!
Bacon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Everett off and has taken his back!

Bacon has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Everett's body.
Bacon misses with punches from the back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Bacon seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Everett's chin but Everett turns very nicely into Bacon's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Everett.

Bacon pulls Everett in close to his closed guard and prevents Everett from doing any damage or advancing position.
Everett postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Everett won't allow Bacon to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connor Bacon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Everett gets tackled into the cage by Bacon. Bacon maintains the clinch.

Bacon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bacon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Jason Everett has been cut.
Connor Bacon seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
A nice right hand lands inside from Bacon.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Still in the clinch, Bacon scores with a nice short uppercut.

Everett is rocked!

Oh Everett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Everett has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bacon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bacon lands a nice uppercut.
Bacon lands a hook to the side of the head.
Everett takes a shot to the head.
Bacon pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Everett! Bacon unloads with more strikes and Everett sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

During a confident post fight interview, Connor Bacon thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
