1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Henderviluchi! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderviluchi shoots for a takedown but Pollard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Henderviluchi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Henderviluchi scores with a three punch combo!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pollard. Pollard throws an elbow but Henderviluchi slips to the side and avoids it well. Pollard cracks Henderviluchi with an elbow. That is naaassty. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henderviluchi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Pollard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Henderviluchi has escaped the position, nice work there. Pollard scoring with punches from side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pollard cracks Henderviluchi with a big right hand but Henderviluchi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pollard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pollard scoring with punches to the head and body. Pollard works over Henderviluchi with some ground and pound from guard. Pollard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. Henderviluchi is rocked! Henderviluchi has momentary wrist control but Pollard slips an elbow through the middle. Henderviluchi is still in real trouble! Can Pollard finish him? Pollard lands a couple of digs. Pollard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pollard works over Henderviluchi with some ground and pound from guard. Pollard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Henderviluchi's head. Pollard scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Pollard arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Henderviluchi's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
