Asteroidbelt has chosen Mars Landing Song as his entrance music. Mars Asteroidbelt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz connects with a right hand. Asteroidbelt shakes it off.
Cruz bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Asteroidbelt walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Asteroidbelt misses with a hook.
Asteroidbelt closes the distance and clinches up with Cruz, looking for a takedown. Asteroidbelt pushes Cruz against the cage but Cruz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cruz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cruz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Asteroidbelt has hold of Cruz's hands but Cruz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
