Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Dorsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Jackson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thaddeus Dorsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson instigates a clinch.

Dorsey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jackson uses from the top position.
Dorsey has Jackson pulled in close to control his posture.
Dorsey really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Jackson stands up and waves to Dorsey to follow him.

Jackson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dorsey stacks Jackson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dorsey!
Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Dorsey lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Jackson is staying active underneath Dorsey, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dorsey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dorsey connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple.

Dorsey is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jackson is trying to stand.
Dorsey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Dorsey, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Thaddeus Dorsey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dorsey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dorsey off and has taken his back!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jackson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dorsey knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dorsey for a finish.
Jackson is trying to stick to Dorsey's back but Dorsey is turning into Jackson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jackson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dorsey.

Mike Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
