Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benny Brett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Kerhley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Brett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Carlton Kerhley! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brett tries to land a body kick and Kerhley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kerhley is just content to waste time from the top position. Brett takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Brett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kerhley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Brett looking for a guillotine here but Kerhley defends easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brett is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brett scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerhley controls Brett momentarily but Brett frees himself. Brett loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brett in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Brett trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerhley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brett showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Brett connects with a couple of short punches. Brett engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Brett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kerhley swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brett postures up.
Brett passes Kerhley's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kerhley wants to control but Brett is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brett slows the pace down in half guard. Kerhley wants to control but Brett is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kerhley looks winded! Brett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kerhley circles away quickly and effectively. Kerhley is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Brett Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Kerhley is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Benny Brett! Benny Brett spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
