Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rich English!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels tries to clinch there but English circles away.

Daniels tries to keep at a distance but English has taken the fight into the clinch.

English ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. English no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
English looking to hit a scissor sweep but Daniels is one step ahead there.
Daniels throws an elbow that misses. English uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Daniels's guard. Nice move by English!

Daniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with English. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Daniels is trying to control the position but English postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniels wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and English is now in half guard.
English performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Daniels tries to regain full guard. Instead though, English has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

English with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
English sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Daniels wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

English is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Daniels looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

English is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Daniels knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Daniels for a finish.
Daniels trying to get back to his feet but English is in full control for now.

Daniels wants to escape the position.
English controlling the position well here. Daniels rolled but English kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Daniels won't enjoy being in this position. English looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Daniels is tapping - it's over boys! English picks up the submission victory!
