The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ali's guard.

Ali is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Walton feints and as Ali raises his hands in defense, Walton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ali seems keen to control Walton's posture.
Walton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ali has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Ali is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ali tries to stand and escape but Walton is controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walton throws a right hand that Ali ducks under and follows up with a left that Ali also avoids with ease.
Ali tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Walton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ali manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Walton manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like Walton is going to stand back up.

Ali shoots for a double leg takedown but Walton sprawls well. He's pushed Ali's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ramadan Ali has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
