Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sean Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armstrong comes into the arena with Turn It Out blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Lawson! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong is looking to clinch but Lawson is avoiding it.
Armstrong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Armstrong throws a head kick but Lawson moves out of range.
Armstrong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Armstrong moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Armstrong wants to clinch. Armstrong looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Armstrong moves in looking to clinch but Lawson pushes him off. Armstrong throws a right hand that Lawson ducks under and follows up with a left that Lawson also avoids with ease. The fight stays on the outside here - Armstrong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lawson keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Armstrong does no damage. Armstrong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A nice leg kick lands there from Armstrong. Lawson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lawson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Lawson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Armstrong is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Armstrong and Lawson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawson swings around for an armbar but Armstrong sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lawson's guard. Lawson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Armstrong wanted to stand there but Lawson had control of the position. Lawson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lawson keeping full guard, as Armstrong tries to pass. Armstrong scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Armstrong won't allow Lawson to sweep him here. Lawson looks gassed!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lawson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Armstrong but Armstrong pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sean Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Armstrong instigates a clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Armstrong.
Lawson keeps control of Armstrong as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lawson breaks from the clinch.
Lawson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lawson lands in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Armstrong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lawson, into his guard. Lawson keeping moving, preventing Armstrong from controlling successfully. Lawson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Armstrong is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lawson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Armstrong's back instead. Lawson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lawson working for the choke. Armstrong defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Lawson's arms. Armstrong is trying to get back to his feet but Lawson has full control of the position and if anything, Armstrong has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Lawson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Armstrong has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
