Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Holy Cow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with a takedown attempt - Cow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Green blocks a head kick by Cow.
Cow dives in and grabs Green's left leg, looking for a takedown. Green pushes down on Cow's head and hops out.
Green is looking to clinch.
Cow misses with a double jab
and Green counters with a three punch combo that has Cow backing up. Cow nods at Green to acknowledge the strikes.
Green keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cow fails to land with a series of punches.
Green shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cow as he avoids it easily.
Green dives in and grabs Cow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cow pushes down on Green's head and hops out.
Holy Cow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alonzo Green.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cow throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Green.
Cow throws a right and a left that Green avoids nicely.
Cow chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Green can pounce on him.
Cow tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Green counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cow thinking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Green counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Green.
Green forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cow trying to control but Green postures up.
Cow is breathing heavily.
Green is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Green throwing shots but Cow is blocking nicely.

Green frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cow wants to control but Green is having none of it.
Green landing strikes from the mount and Cow is in trouble!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green landing punches.
Green controlling the position easily from mount.
It looks like Green might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Green looking to control and managing it successfully.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alonzo Green dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Green avoids a punch combination nicely.
Green throws a counter combo.
Cow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Green counters with a series of strikes. Cow will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Green has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green's waist but Green gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cow off to one side.
Green throws a head kick but Cow moves out of range.

Cow tries to keep at a distance but Green has taken the fight into the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Green takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Cow gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Green to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Let's hope that Green has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Green gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Cow leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Green throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

It looks like Alonzo Green has been cut.

A head kick from Green lands but Cow takes it in his stride.

Cow is posturing up here but Green has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Cow tries to roll out but it's too tight and Cow has to tap! Slick submission there by Green!
