1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Watchdog! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Watchdog. No joy for Dobbs on that attempt. Watchdog throws a head kick but Dobbs moves out of range.
Watchdog shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dobbs's guard. Dobbs is working an open guard so Watchdog takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dobbs scores with a one two! Watchdog had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. No joy there for Dobbs, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Watchdog feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Watchdog with a flurry of punches that miss. Dobbs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dobbs scores with a short punch from the bottom. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dobbs rushes Watchdog and presses him up against the cage. Dobbs jumps into guard, dragging Watchdog to the mat.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dobbs just misses with a elbow thrown towards Watchdog's brow. Dobbs dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dobbs lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Watchdog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Decent striking displayed by Dobbs there. Dobbs connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Dobbs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Watchdog sprawls well initially but Dobbs persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dobbs lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dobbs is just content to waste time from the top position. Watchdog takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Watchdog passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dobbs! Dobbs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dobbs tries to get out of the position. Watchdog is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dobbs has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Glenn Watchdog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Watchdog bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Watchdog takes a little break here. Dobbs wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Dobbs tries to bench press Watchdog off him but Watchdog keeps the position. Watchdog scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dobbs to see if he's OK. Dobbs sneaks back into half guard. Watchdog is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dobbs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Watchdog. Let's hope that Watchdog has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
