Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chi Gu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gu's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Put It On-Big L. Apollo Creed has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chi Gu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chi Gu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Apollo Creed!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Creed tries to avoid it but Gu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Creed to the ground. Creed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Creed's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Creed duly obliges.
Gu tries for a takedown but Creed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Creed is fending him off so far but Gu persists. Nope, Creed circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chi Gu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Creed instigates a clinch.

Creed gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gu regains guard.
Creed tries to free his leg and advance position but Gu is retaining full guard.
Creed throws a big elbow that misses.
Gu trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Creed wants to control from the top but Gu keeps moving.

Gu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Creed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Creed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Creed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gu goes for a double leg but Creed avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Creed continues to drive forward.
Creed dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gu is breathing heavily.
Gu shoots in for a takedown but Creed shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Creed counters with a crisp one two that drops Gu! Creed thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gu to his feet! Gu is in big trouble!
Gu is rocked!
It looks like Chi Gu has been cut.
Creed throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gu was covering up waiting for the punch and Creed finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Oh Gu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Creed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gu is keeping the position for now.

Creed trying to control the position from guard on top but Gu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gu seems to have got his legs back now.
Creed looking to sit in guard and control but Gu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gu lands a couple of elbows.
Creed trying to control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gu distracts Creed with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Creed not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gu is looking to work some ground and pound but Creed has wrist control.

Creed controls Gu momentarily but Gu frees himself.
Creed wants to stand up but Gu is controlling him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Creed can do anything to dispel that myth.
Creed is looking for a triangle but Gu pushes his legs off easily.
Creed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gu is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at El Tico 's Academy, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The cut man is working on Chi Gu's cut.
That's time! Gu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Creed!
Creed darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Creed is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Creed wants to work for an arm triangle but Gu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gu lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Creed is looking for a sweep. Gu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Creed is trying to maintain the position but Gu is very close to passing his half guard.
Creed is trying to get back to full guard.

Creed tries to get to full guard but Gu has control of the leg.
Gu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Creed with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Creed has hold of Gu's hands but Gu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gu works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gu lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gu looking to finish Creed with some ground and pound. This is bad for Creed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Creed tries to hold on but Gu pushes him away.
Creed is bucking up trying to escape but Gu cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Creed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gu pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Creed takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Gu! Creed is hurt baaadly! Gu is firing away with more strikes - Creed is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chi Gu!
