Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: that go- keak da sneak. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Dixon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeffrey Green! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon fails to land the takedown. Jab by Green. Good leg kick by Dixon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dixon jabs Green right on the nose. Green blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Jeffrey Green has been cut. Dixon scores with a nice head shot. Dixon lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Green throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dixon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dixon throws a series of punches but Green avoids them all with ease. Green throws a combination that misses and Dixon counters by moving into the clinch. Dixon gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dixon controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dixon trying to control but Green is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green wants to improve his position but instead Dixon has moved into half guard.
Green tries to get to full guard but Dixon has control of the leg. Green punching from the bottom.
Dixon is looking for a kimura here.
Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Green is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dixon tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Green is able to avoid easily. Green uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dixon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dixon checks a leg kick. Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dixon moves in looking to clinch but Green pushes him off. Dixon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Green counters with a single leg into guard. Dixon didn't expect that. Dixon keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. Green trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Green wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving. Dixon throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Green trying to move into half guard but instead Dixon has managed to sweep!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dixon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dixon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard. Green trying to strike off his back.
Green can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dixon controls the pace. Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dixon is one step ahead there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dixon stays in close to Green's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Green is striking from the bottom but Dixon uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Dixon trying to mount his opponent but Green defends it. Green wants to get back to full guard. Dixon controlling the action here. Green strikes from the bottom but Dixon passes into mount!
Green looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Green tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Dixon dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jeffrey Green's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fighters circling - Dixon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dixon tries to clinch but Green moves away and Green counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Green throwing shots but Dixon is blocking nicely. Dixon gets full guard. Green wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving. Dixon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Dixon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dixon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Green throwing strikes but missing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Green misses with a jab to the body
and Dixon counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon throws out a powerful jab. Green gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dixon lands a hook that snaps the head of Green backwards. Dixon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Green tries to clinch but Dixon is having none of it. Dixon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Green. Green throws a body punch but Dixon moves out of range. Green blocks a jab. A nice combination there by Green.

Green is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dixon. Green is still on wobbly legs! Can Dixon finish him? A big left from Dixon misses. Green seems to have recovered his senses. Dixon darts in trying to clinch and Green counters by moving into the clinch. Dixon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dixon looks to clinch and Green counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Green. Green is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Dixon can't fight it off and eventually Green manages to take the fight to the floor. Dixon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Green with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon has his hands on Green's head, controlling the position. Dixon keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass. Dixon has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Green looking to sit in guard and control but Dixon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Green keeping moving, preventing Dixon from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dixon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Green's guard. Green tries to get to full guard but Dixon has control of the leg. Green is refusing to be controlled, as Dixon sits in half guard. Dixon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Green! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Green sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Dixon is thwarting Green's attempts to control the position. Green is not content to let Dixon control the position. Green moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jeffrey Green will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Jeffrey Green's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dixon looks to score with a jab to the body but Green is just out of range. A slow jab from Dixon misses its intended target. Dixon thuds his right hand into Green's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Dixon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dixon wants to clinch but Green slips to the side and Green counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dixon thinking. Green takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Dixon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Green keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dixon. Dixon ducks under a wild hook from Green.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon tries to clinch but Green moves away and Green counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dixon tries to clinch up and Green cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Peter Dixon is winning the standup battle so far. Dixon lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Green can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Dixon and Green drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Dixon.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Dixon! Peter Dixon retains his welterweight title!
