The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dickinson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cruz.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dickinson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dickinson closes the distance but Cruz moves to the side
so Cruz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cruz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cruz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dickinson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Cruz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dickinson pulls down on the head and he's put Cruz to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). David Dickinson!
David Dickinson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
