The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manny avoids the head kick by Turnbull.
Turnbull shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Manny shoots in looking for a takedown. Turnbull tries to sprawl out of it but Manny keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turnbull manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Manny dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Turnbull bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Turnbull tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Turnbull can do anything to dispel that myth.
Manny stands up from Turnbull's guard - Manny perhaps looking for a knockout.

Turnbull throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Turnbull looks to throw the jab but Manny is out of range.

Manny shoots for a double leg takedown but Turnbull sprawls well. He's pushed Manny 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Manny seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turnbull for as long as he can get away with.
Turnbull really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manny . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Manny lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Turnbull throws a low kick but it's checked well by Manny .

Manny is looking to clinch but Turnbull is avoiding it.
Manny changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turnbull looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Turnbull is trying to escape the position but Manny is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turnbull explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Turnbull throws a looping overhand right but Manny ducks down to avoid it.

Turnbull can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Manny controls the pace.

Manny shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Turnbull throws an overhand right that lands on Manny 's shoulder, as Manny tries to avoid the shot.
Turnbull with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Turnbull takes a kick to the side of the head.
Manny slips under a jab.
Manny works over Turnbull's head and body with a nice combination.
Manny looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turnbull is fending him off so far but Manny persists. Nope, Turnbull circles away and we're back to standing.
Turnbull stuffs the takedown attempt from Manny . Manny gets slowly back to his feet.
Turnbull rushes Manny and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Manny closes the distance and clinches up with Turnbull, looking for a takedown. Manny pushes Turnbull against the cage but Turnbull circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brandon Manny .
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Manny , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
