Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rickie Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Crespo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rickie Hammond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aldo Crespo! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammond clinches. Crespo is working for takedown but Hammond is calmly controlling the position for now. Crespo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hammond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hammond closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hammond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hammond wants to stand but Crespo is controlling his arm. Crespo is looking for a sweep. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hammond wants to stand but Crespo is controlling his arm. Hammond thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Crespo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hammond presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crespo tries to hold on but Hammond pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crespo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammond decides to stand up. Hammond gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hammond gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crespo.
Crespo is looking for a takedown. Rickie Hammond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aldo Crespo. Hammond has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Crespo regains guard immediately. Crespo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hammond gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hammond might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crespo wants to sweep but no luck. Crespo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammond has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crespo is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hammond wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Crespo manages to pass to side control. Hammond looks like he's trying to stand up.
Crespo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Crespo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hammond tries to get to full guard but Crespo has control of the leg. Crespo wants to take a breather but Hammond is having none of it. Hammond gets full guard. Crespo stopping the sweep attempt from Hammond. Hammond is breathing heavily. Crespo forces his way into half guard. Crespo is looking for a kimura but Hammond is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Crespo to get the leverage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crespo wants to take a breather but Hammond is having none of it. Hammond is looking for a sweep. Crespo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Crespo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hammond is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
