The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hakan defends well and Cruz ends up having to push Hakan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hakan with the counter takedown but Cruz avoids it easily.
Mustafa Hakan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz misses with a takedown attempt - Hakan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hakan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Hakan wants to take a breather but Cruz manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Hakan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cruz connects with a nice short shot to Hakan's temple.
