The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manmouth misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown attempt by Manmouth or perhaps it was just good defense by Silvio, which made it look bad.
Manmouth throws a right and a left that both miss.
Manmouth misses with a head kick.

and Silvio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Manmouth misses with a double jab.
Manmouth gets cracked there but stands up to it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I was talking to Manmouth's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Silvio digs a right hand underneath Manmouth's ribcage. Manmouth let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Silvio has Manmouth pressed against the cage, preventing Manmouth from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Silvio lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Manmouth backwards.
Manmouth's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Silvio lands a hook to the side of the head.
Manmouth manages to break the clinch.
Manmouth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silvio's waist but Silvio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manmouth off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aliad Manmouth. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silvio lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Manmouth to his knees! Silvio keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
