Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Kawulski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawulski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DMX - Slippin' kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Shane Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aleksander Kawulski! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Austin takes a swing at Kawulski's ribcage but misses. Austin misses the jab. Kawulski with the counter takedown but Austin avoids it easily. Austin scores with a nice body kick.
Kawulski thows a left - swing and a miss! Austin is looking to clinch but Kawulski is avoiding it.
Kawulski staying out of range there. Austin misses with a few strikes there.
Kawulski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Austin's half guard. Kawulski not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kawulski working Austin over with strikes. Kawulski trying to control the pace. Austin is not content to let Kawulski control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawulski is looking to advance position but Austin won't allow it. Kawulski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kawulski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kawulski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Austin defending well though. Kawulski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kawulski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kawulski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kawulski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Austin defending well though. Kawulski wants to pass to mount but Austin is defending the position. Kawulski moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawulski working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Kawulski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Austin is not content to let Kawulski control the position. Austin struggling a bit here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Austin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kawulski lands a decent elbow from side control. Kawulski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Austin keeps working. Kawulski throws an elbow but Austin slips to the side and avoids it well. Kawulski wants to control but Austin is keeping him busy. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kawulski working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Kawulski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kawulski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kawulski cracks Austin with a big right hand but Austin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kawulski is looking to take a break and control but Austin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aleksander Kawulski dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Austin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kawulski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kawulski looks to throw the jab but Austin is out of range. Kawulski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kawulski looks to land a left hand but Austin moved out of range nicely. Austin misses with a hook. Kawulski ducked under it nicely. Kawulski changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kawulski connects with a jab. Kawulski moves into range and connects with a jab. Kawulski throws a big shot that misses. Austin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Austin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kawulski works Austin's body with a nice hook. Aleksander Kawulski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kawulski lands with an uppercut that bounces Austin off the cage and back into range. Kawulski lands a glancing blow to the side of Austin's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kawulski steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Austin. Austin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kawulski.

That's one minute gone in the round. Austin throws a body punch but Kawulski moves out of range. Nice uppercut there from Austin. Austin missing with a left hand there. Kawulski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Austin misses with a low kick. Shane Austin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kawulski throws an overhand right that lands on Austin's shoulder, as Austin tries to avoid the shot. Austin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kawulski. Kawulski connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Austin momentarily.
Kawulski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kawulski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Austin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kawulski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Austin's waist but Austin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kawulski off to one side. Kawulski shoots for a takedown but Austin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Austin looks to land a body kick but Kawulski moved away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Austin. No joy for Kawulski on that attempt. A counter left hand to the body from Austin misses its target. Shane Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Kawulski. Austin throws a front kick aimed at Kawulski's knee but Kawulski avoids it well. Kawulski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kawulski lands in his opponent's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Kawulski preventing the sweep. Austin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kawulski manages to get himself to full guard.
Kawulski has his feet on Austin's thighs here. He's pushed Austin off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Austin screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
