Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jindar Mahal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryce Carpenter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jindar Mahal! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carpenter shoots in and bounces Mahal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Carpenter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mahal has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Carpenter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mahal. Carpenter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Mahal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carpenter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carpenter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Carpenter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mahal, who protects the arm well. Carpenter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carpenter trying to control the position but Mahal is working away. Mahal is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carpenter off and has taken his back! Carpenter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Carpenter tries to roll but Mahal sticks to his back.
Carpenter looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Mahal is working the ground and pound. Can Carpenter escape?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carpenter is really stuck here.
Carpenter fending off the submission attempt from Mahal. Carpenter tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Carpenter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mahal cracks Carpenter with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
It looks like Bryce Carpenter has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carpenter tries to reverse the position but Mahal maintains control. Mahal lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mahal lands a big shot to the head and Carpenter winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jindar Mahal!
