Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Pierres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donovan Shaw! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierres darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Pierres content to control rather than advance. Pierres is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shaw sees it coming and defends easily. Pierres wants to work for an arm triangle but Shaw is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shaw is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pierres decides to return to a standing position. Pierres drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pierres working the head with strikes. Pierres takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Shaw to pass into mount. Pierres wants to finish this one by submission but Shaw is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pierres.

Pierres is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Pierres!
