Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Mcgregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kabian Bristen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charlie Mcgregor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kabian Bristen! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Bristen. That's going to slow Mcgregor down. Mcgregor drives through and clinches with Bristen against the cage.

Mcgregor pulls guard effortlessly. Mcgregor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bristen won't allow Mcgregor to get back to his feet. Mcgregor seems keen to control Bristen's posture. Bristen gets to his feet - Mcgregor follows without any prompting. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bristen tries to clinch but Mcgregor is having none of it. A head kick misses from Mcgregor. Mcgregor shoots in looking for a takedown but Bristen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mcgregor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bristen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Mcgregor fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bristen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A slapping body kick lands there for Bristen. Mcgregor throws a head kick that misses. Mcgregor closes the distance and clinches. Bristen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcgregor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bristen pulls guard successfully.
Bristen pulls Mcgregor in close to prevent any damage. Mcgregor trying to control the position from guard on top but Bristen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bristen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bristen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mcgregor got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bristen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mcgregor has managed to get both his arms back between Bristen's legs - danger averted. Mcgregor missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bristen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcgregor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bristen being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgregor tries to free his leg and advance position but Bristen is retaining full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bristen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Mcgregor misses with a series of wild punches.
Bristen shoots in for a double leg but Mcgregor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mcgregor fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Mcgregor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcgregor darts in looking for a takedown but Bristen gets double underhooks and turns Mcgregor into the cage. Bristen appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Mcgregor forces Bristen back against the cage and clinches.

Mcgregor shoots in but Bristen avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mcgregor misses with a takedown attempt - Bristen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mcgregor is breathing heavily. Bristen fails with the takedown. Bristen tries to clinch there but Mcgregor circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bristen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mcgregor counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mcgregor. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bristen breaks from the clinch.
Mcgregor drives through and clinches with Bristen against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Mcgregor dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mcgregor takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcgregor enables Bristen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcgregor manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Bristen stays in close to Mcgregor's body and controls the position. Mcgregor keeping moving, preventing Bristen from controlling successfully. Bristen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgregor controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bristen keeping moving, preventing Mcgregor from controlling successfully. Bristen working a defensive guard but Mcgregor passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bristen is looking for a sweep. Mcgregor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mcgregor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcgregor looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Bristen closes the distance and clinches up with Mcgregor, looking for a takedown. Bristen pushes Mcgregor against the cage but Mcgregor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mcgregor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bristen but Bristen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mcgregor tries to clinch but Bristen moves out of range. Bristen throws a head kick that misses. Bristen wants to clinch up but Mcgregor keeps it at a distance. Mcgregor appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Mcgregor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bristen avoids it really well and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Mcgregor. No joy for Bristen on that attempt. Bristen is breathing heavily.

Mcgregor sets himself, and Bristen steps forward looking for the clinch! Mcgregor avoids it this time. Bristen throws a lazy head kick and Mcgregor counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mcgregor looks to throw an elbow but misses. Mcgregor taking a breather. Bristen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mcgregor after a bit of a struggle. Charlie Mcgregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kabian Bristen. Mcgregor wants to take the fight to the mat but Bristen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Bristen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mcgregor regains guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcgregor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bristen defends well. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mcgregor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bristen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Bristen wants to counter the offense by Mcgregor and move into the clinch position. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Mcgregor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bristen scores with a takedown into Mcgregor's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Mcgregor manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Mcgregor is looking for a takedown. Bristen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Charlie Mcgregor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
