Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duane Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Kokane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kokane has chosen Escape From the Madness as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerry Kokane!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokane walks into a left hand.
Kokane lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A good leg kick by Kokane.
Kokane throws a sloppy head kick and Perry moves out of range easily.
A shot to the liver by Kokane. Beautiful body shot.

Perry closes the distance and clinches.
Kokane stalls.

Kokane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kokane misses with a wild body shot.
Perry throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Perry misses with a wild body shot.
Kokane replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Perry blocks it well.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Perry, right into the meat.
Sloppy strikes from Kokane. Those never looked like landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perry is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kokane.

Perry feints and then cracks Kokane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kokane down.

Kokane throws out a loose jab but Perry uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kokane has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Perry finds it's way round the side to connect with Kokane's head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Perry is trying to stall.
Kokane is leaning against Perry and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Perry.
Perry tries a body shot but Kokane blocks it.
Perry struggles to land a body shot inside as Kokane controls his hands.
Kokane is trying to push Perry away but Perry has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Perry misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Perry throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kokanes head.
Perry lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Perry blocks a body shot from Kokane.

Kokane lands a body shot in the clinch.

Kokane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kokane takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kokane explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Perry connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kokane's hands.
Perry has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Perry there as he acknowledges the shot.
Perry throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Perry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kokane's waist but Kokane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perry off to one side.
Kokane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Perry at a distance.
Perry throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kokane ducks under a wild hook from Perry.
Kokane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Perry has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Perry throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Perry doesn't manage to clinch there - Kokane circles away.

Perry blocks a jab.
Kokane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perry manages to avoid it.
Kokane takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kokane looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Perry moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kokane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perry moves away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Perry.

Perry throws a push kick but Kokane slaps the foot to one side.
Perry lands a glancing blow to the side of Kokane's head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kokane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perry moves away.
Perry blocks a jab.
Kokane moves away from the strike by Perry.
Perry explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Duane Perry will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kokane throws a series of strikes that have Perry backpedaling.

It looks like Duane Perry has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Perry. That snapped Kokane's head back.
Perry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kokane on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Kokane counters with a nice right hand that sends Perry toppling to the canvas! Perry scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kokane finish him?!

Kokane throws a quick head kick that knocks Perry silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Kokane is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

In his post fight interview, Jerry Kokane started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
