Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Akira Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ishikawa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to mindshift genki sudo. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
46 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Ishikawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeshi clinches with his opponent.
Takeshi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Takeshi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ishikawa tries to circle away but Takeshi has him pinned against the ropes. Takeshi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ishikawa throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ishikawa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Takeshi scores with a jab to the head.
Takeshi pushes Ishikawa up against the ropes in a clinch. Takeshi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Takeshi tries a head kick but it misses.
Ishikawa swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Takeshi counter with a right hand. Ishikawa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Takeshi to score with a decent uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ishikawa misses the body punch and Takeshi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ishikawa is breathing heavily. Ishikawa takes a jab right on the kisser.
Takeshi throws a head kick that misses. Takeshi punishes Ishikawa's body with a nice straight punch. Takeshi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ishikawa moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Takeshi rushes Ishikawa and presses him up against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeshi lands on the inside with an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Ishikawa's face as he tries to break the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Takeshi. Takeshi taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Takeshi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ishikawa backwards. Takeshi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ishikawa misses with a body shot.
Takeshi digs a good body shot into Ishikawa's ribs. Takeshi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Ishikawa is trying to break the clinch but Takeshi has him pressed against the ropes. Ishikawa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Takeshi lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ishikawa backwards. A short left from Takeshi. Ishikawa wants to get back to striking at distance but Takeshi won't allow it.
Takeshi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ishikawa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takeshi! But no joy. Takeshi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ishikawa.
Takeshi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ishikawa had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Takeshi gets a clinch. Takeshi breaks from the clinch.
Takeshi closes the distance and clinches. Ishikawa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Takeshi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Takeshi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ishikawa backwards. Takeshi scores with a shoulder strike. Takeshi slowing the pace effectively. Takeshi manages to break the clinch.

Ishikawa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ishikawa letting Takeshi take a breather here. Ishikawa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ishikawa is trying to break the clinch but Takeshi is controlling him. Takeshi keeps control of Ishikawa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ishikawa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Takeshi has taken the fight to the clinch.

Takeshi lands a head kick. Ishikawa smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Takeshi rushes Ishikawa and presses him up against the ropes. Takeshi looking to slow down the pace here. Ishikawa wants to break free but Takeshi has control.

Ishikawa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Takeshi is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takeshi content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Takeshi scores with the left hand. Ishikawa knows he should have avoided that one. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takeshi has Ishikawa up against the ropes in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ichi Takeshi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Akira Ishikawa's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ishikawa misses with a few strikes there.
Takeshi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ishikawa momentarily.
Akira Ishikawa's cut is getting worse. Takeshi lands a head shot. Ishikawa throws a lazy head kick and Takeshi counters with a stiff right hand. Takeshi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ishikawa, pushing him back against the ropes. Takeshi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Ishikawa wants to break the clinch but can't.
Takeshi is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ishikawa is keeping busy. Ishikawa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ishikawa wants to get back to striking at distance but Takeshi won't allow it.

Ishikawa is rocked! Ishikawa gets tackled into the ropes by Takeshi. Takeshi maintains the clinch. Oh Ishikawa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Takeshi scores with a nice hook to the head. Takeshi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Ishikawa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. The referee is keeping an eye on Takeshi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ishikawa walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ichi Takeshi! A victorious Ichi Takeshi thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter. In defeat, Akira Ishikawa stepped up to the mic, saying 'It happens let's try again'.
