Day has chosen Last minute - Great day to choke you out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, King Diamond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Day! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diamond throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Day dips to his left and cracks Diamond with an uppercut! Diamond stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Day scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A punch combination from Day misses. Nice straight punches there by Diamond. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Diamond. Day keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A combination from Diamond does no damage. Diamond swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diamond misses the jab. Day connects with a solid leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Diamond. Those never looked like landing. This has been an exciting period of action! A combination from Diamond does no damage. Diamond misses with a left hand and Day counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Day misses the shot to the body. Day lands a nice looking body kick. Day uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diamond. A jab from Day misses. A decent looking body kick lands there for Day. A jab from Day finds it's way through Diamond's defenses. Nice uppercut there from Day.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diamond looks to land a left hand but Day moved out of range nicely. Diamond lands with a cross. Jab from Day. Day moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Diamond is breathing heavily. Day scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like King Diamond has been cut. A swing and a miss from Diamond. And Day responds with a good body kick, but Diamond manages to step out the way in time. A decent looking body kick lands there for Day. A head kick misses from Day. Diamond looks to land a combination but Day avoids it well. Day steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Diamond. Day lands with a thumping leg kick.
Day lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diamond takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Day fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diamond has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Day needs to keep his hands up - Diamond had a free shot at his head there. Day is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Diamond swings for the body but Day moves out of range.
Diamond takes a swing at Day's ribcage but misses. Day digs a good hook to Diamond's body.
Day comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. King Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Day cracks Diamond with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Diamond definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diamond moves away. Diamond throws an overhand right that lands on Day's shoulder, as Day tries to avoid the shot. Diamond swings widly with a right hand
and Day counters with a good low kick that Diamond was not able to check. Day fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Diamond takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Diamond throws a right and a left that both miss. Diamond misses with a wild combination.
Day tries to counter by closing the distance. Day throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Diamond takes a body punch but keeps moving. Day connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Diamond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Day circles away quickly and effectively. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Diamond crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Day - the referee stops the clock and Diamond gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Day. Diamond manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Day connects with a crisp jab. Day has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Day lands with a nice body punch. Day scores with a jab to the jaw. Day throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nice straight punches there by Day. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Day.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Day sends Diamond crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Day is motioning to the referee to let Diamond up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Diamond is rocked! Day shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Diamond takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Day sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Diamond bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gary Day! Gary Day seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. King Diamond was interviewed post fight and said 'Thanks to all the fans, I'll be back!!'.
