Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chad Tyrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Hallick! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hallick misses with a body shot.
Tyrell misses the jab. Hallick's corner calls for a 1-2. Hallick obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A big left from Tyrell misses. Hallick shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Al Hallick has been cut. Tyrell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hallick's calf. Tyrell explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Hallick throws an off balance right hand
enabling Tyrell to counter with a crisp jab. Tyrell throws a nice inside leg kick. Tyrell looks to land a body kick but Hallick moved away. And Hallick responds with a good body kick, but Tyrell manages to step out the way in time. Hallick throws a right and a left that Tyrell avoids nicely. Tyrell throws a chopping leg kick but Hallick manages to avoid taking any serious damage. We've been informed that Hallick has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Hallick lands a leg kick that knocks Tyrell off balance momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Hallick misses with a hook. Tyrell ducked under it nicely. Hallick swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tyrell looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Tyrell scores with a leg kick.
Jab by Hallick. Hallick takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Chad Tyrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyrell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tyrell pushes Hallick away with a front kick. Tyrell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Tyrell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hallick is able to avoid easily. Hallick takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Tyrell throws a head kick but Hallick moves out of range.
Tyrell jabs Hallick to the body, keeping him at a distance. Tyrell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Cooker in the buildup to the fight. Tyrell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hallick. Hallick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A good leg kick by Tyrell. Tyrell misses with a low kick. A head kick misses from Tyrell. Hallick on the wrong end of a nice jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Tyrell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hallick. Nice defenses there by Tyrell. Tyrell looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Tyrell misses with a lunging right hand
and Hallick counters with a nice body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Tyrell. Hallick lands an overhand right. Hallick lands an overhand right. Hallick closes the distance and lands a one-two. Tyrell looks to land a right hand but Hallick moved out of range. Tyrell throws out a leg kick but Hallick moves out of range and Tyrell only half commits. Tyrell tries to clinch there but Hallick circles away.
Hallick stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tyrell. Tyrell looks to score with a jab to the body but Hallick is just out of range. Tyrell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hallick misses the shot to the body. Hallick misses with a straight right. Hallick lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Tyrell lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hallick misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hallick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyrell manages to avoid it. Hallick connects with a looping right hand.

Tyrell throws a jab when Hallick was well out of range. A leg kick checked by Hallick. Tyrell tries to land a front kick but Hallick steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Tyrell throws a jab when Hallick was well out of range. Tyrell throws a head kick that misses. Hallick lands a big head kick that sends Tyrell tumbling to the mat! Hallick takes a step backwards and waves Tyrell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tyrell is rocked! A low kick from Tyrell misses and Hallick counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Al Hallick! Our winner, Al Hallick, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
