Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karen Grigoryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sol Goode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goode has chosen Real Thing as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sol Goode!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goode tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grigoryan swivels and escapes.
Grigoryan swinging wilding here.
Goode scores with a push kick.
Goode is looking to clinch.
Grigoryan tries to clinch up

so Goode counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Goode passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Grigoryan is not content to let Goode control the position.
Grigoryan is looking to reverse the position.
Goode wants to control but Grigoryan is keeping him busy.

Grigoryan is looking for a sweep.

Goode thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Goode slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Grigoryan.
Grigoryan swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Grigoryan is squirming around, avoiding Goode's attempts to control the action.

Goode stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Goode looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Grigoryan!

Grigoryan is wriggling around trying to escape.

Grigoryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Goode on the ground.

Goode throws a series of punches but Grigoryan moves out of range.

Goode gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

and Goode counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Goode decides to pull guard.
Grigoryan throws and elbow that misses. Goode uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Grigoryan's guard. Nice move by Goode!
Goode won't allow Grigoryan to sweep him here.

Goode chips away with some ground and pound.
Goode postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Goode wants to control from the top but Grigoryan keeps moving.
Goode might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grigoryan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Goode looks for a takedown but Grigoryan sprawls well.
Karen Grigoryan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Goode shoots for a takedown but Grigoryan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Karen Grigoryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sol Goode.
Goode misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Karen Grigoryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goode is looking to slow Grigoryan down with leg kicks.

Goode is trying to control the action in half guard but Grigoryan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Goode wants to control the pace but Grigoryan is squirming around nicely.

Grigoryan is looking to improve his position but Goode isn't that keen on the idea.
Goode wants to control the pace but Grigoryan is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sol Goode has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sol Goode showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Goode fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Goode changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grigoryan tries to avoid it but Goode manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grigoryan to the ground. Grigoryan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Goode gets control of Grigoryan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Goode will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Goode manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Grigoryan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Goode is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Goode trying to control but Grigoryan is having none of it.
Grigoryan is trying to reverse the position but instead Goode has taken his back - oops!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Goode has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Grigoryan's body.
Grigoryan staying busy and making it hard for Goode to control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sol Goode just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Goode shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grigoryan as he avoids it easily.

Goode has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Goode lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Grigoryan hold on?!

Goode is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Grigoryan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Grigoryan tries to roll but Goode sticks to his back.
Goode just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Goode has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Grigoryan is in real trouble here. Goode gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Grigoryan is tapping out! Goode wins by rear naked choke!
