Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barry Curley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Tober (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Barry Curley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Tober!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Curley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tober looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tober isn't going anywhere.
Tober looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tober is trying to get back to half guard.
Tober keeps trying to improve his position.

Curley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tober has escaped the position, nice work there.
Tober is trying to control Curley's posture but Curley avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Curley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tober keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tober is looking for a sweep.
Tober sneaks back into half guard.
Tober tries to get to full guard but Curley has control of the leg.
Tober is looking to control Curley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tober avoid being mounted?
Curley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Tober wants to control but Curley is keeping busy.
Curley performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tober is pressing down on Curley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Curley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tober, up you get!
Tober dives in for a single leg takedown but Curley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Curley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Curley tries to pass to full mount but Tober defends it.

Tober throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Curley is looking to take a break and control but Tober is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Curley wants to control but Tober is keeping him busy.

Curley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tober keeps working.
Curley wants to stand but Tober has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tober is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Curley pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Curley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tober, pushing him back against the cage.
Curley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Tober has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Curley uses from the top position.
Curley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tober has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Curley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Curley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tober has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Curley has managed to get both his arms back between Tober's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tober looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Curley passes into side control.

Tober can't do much from the bottom here.
Tober is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Curley is staying active.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Curley stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Curley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Curley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Tober is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Tober is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Curley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tober to his feet.
Curley plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Curley cracks Tober with an open hand slap.

Tober closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Curley tries to get to full guard but Tober has control of the leg.
Tober stops Curley from getting back to his feet.

Curley tries to roll over but Tober keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tober in particular looking to stall.
Tober seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Curley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Curley is looking to improve his position.
Tober trying to control the action but Curley is working from the bottom.

Tober is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tober wants to lay and pray for a moment but Curley keeps working.
Curley trying to hold on to Tober's head to control him but Tober postures up.

Tober is trying to work for a kimura but Curley is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tober is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Tober shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Curley's guard.
Tober trying to control but Curley is working from the bottom.
Curley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tober on the ground.
Tober controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Curley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tober is aware though and is defending well.

Tober might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Curley haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Curley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tober wants to control from the top but Curley keeps moving.

Tober thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Curley rushes Tober and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tober breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barry Curley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tober tries for a takedown but Curley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Barry Curley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tober tries to keep at a distance but Curley has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tober is looking to take this one to the mat.
Tober takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tober goes for a takedown in the clinch but Curley prevents it.
Barry Curley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Tober.
A nice left hand lands by Tober.

Tober tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Curley smiles and moves away.
Curley throws a sloppy head kick and Tober moves out of range easily.
Tober takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
An inside leg kick lands from Curley.

Curley rushes Tober and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tober wants to take the fight to the mat but Curley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Tober can't get the takedown.

Curley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Curley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Curley is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Curley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tober is controlling him.
Frank Tober has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tober wants to control from the top but Curley keeps moving.

Curley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tober defends well.
Curley trying to keep a closed guard but Tober is proving a slippery customer.
Curley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Curley is pulling down on Tober's head to control his posture.

Well Curley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
