Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elijah David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah David! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Nevsky! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David throws a sloppy body shot
and Nevsky counters with a nice uppercut. A swing and a miss from David. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Nevsky! But no joy. Nevsky slips under a jab from David. David lands a front kick. Nevsky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by David. David misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nevsky lands a big head kick that sends David tumbling to the mat! Nevsky takes a step backwards and waves David back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Elijah David has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! David defending well as Nevsky loads up on a big left hand. David fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nevsky walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. David throws a jab but it's blocked by Nevsky. David throws a big shot that misses. David misses with a looping right. David throws a combination that misses and Nevsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. David tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nevsky defends well and David ends up having to push Nevsky into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. David fails miserably with a takedown attempt. David is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Nevsky's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Nevsky avoids a lazy jab quite easily. David misses with a left hand and Nevsky counters with a nice uppercut. Nevsky comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. David throws an off balance right hand
letting Nevsky counter with a right hand.
David is rocked! David glances at the clock... BAM! Nevsky nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends David crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, David is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexander Nevsky!
